Job Details
Sparks Group is working with an international, award-winning, Fortune 500 company to seek a seasoned Audit professional. In this role, you will perform Information Technology (IT) related audits and projects including Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance reviews, application operational reviews, infrastructure, and system implementations. You will help the team by conceptualizing and communicating new methods to streamline the audit processes. Responsibilities:
- Organizes personal and audit team's activities to encourage enhanced time management
- Identifies risks and escalates issues to management and clients. Proposes solutions for most effective resource allocation
- Showcases elevated understanding of IT risks, controls, and governance and its relationship to the work of Internal Audit and effectively communicates concepts to enhance customer understanding of control applications.
- Collaborates with the Audit department, maintains internal customer relationships, and maintains a positive working relationship with external auditors
- Applies industry knowledge of insurance and IT concepts throughout the audit process
- Generates quality deliverables that communicates audit results and identifies the results
- Streamlines the audit department
- Estimated to travel 10-15% annually as needed
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- Position requires a bachelor's degree
- CPA, CIA, CISA or equivalent certification desired
- IT auditing or relevant equivalent IT operations experience required
- 2+ years of related work experience
- Insurance industry or financial services operations experience is a plus
- Understands Oracle, SQL Server, MS Access
- Strong communication, time management, adaptation, and presentation skills
- Able to analyze advanced processes, including utilization of data
- Had expertise in the financial services industry and/or financial control concepts
