Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with current fiscal and financial management policies and procedures.
  • Advise on matters relating to fiscal management including planning, programming, budgeting, review and analysis, work project programming and control.
  • Assist with the development and tracking of required project elements.
  • Ensure appropriate coordination within the IT Directorate and the Agency on all financial and program plans submitted.
  • Coordinate, integrate, present, and defend the Division programs and budget and monitor the status of all audits and inspections.
  • Analyze, evaluate and synthesize program financial data using quantitative and qualitative techniques by interpreting program plans, budget proposals and program accomplishments.
  • Participate in phases, milestones, and final program reviews.


Travel Required

Occasional travel - May be required to travel by scheduled and nonscheduled government and/or commercial aircraft, as well as other modes of travel, under conditions specified in the Department of Defense Joint Travel Regulations.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, by the closing date of this announcement, you must possess one of the following:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 grade level that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To be creditable, specialized experience must be at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.

Creditable specialized experience includes:
  • Preparing and presenting accounting and financial reports.
  • Using automated financial management systems to capture data.
  • Applying accounting and finance practices, procedures, regulations, precedents, policies, and guidelines to determine compliance and deficiencies.
  • Composing written documents pertaining to financial and accounting data.

(b) Time in grade eligibility requirement: You must have held a permanent appointment in the competitive or excepted service for a minimum of 52 weeks at the GS-11 grade level (or equivalent).
