We are currently looking for an experienced Procurement Technician. Position Description: Duties include: Work with staff on the processing of day-to-day actions related to purchasing. Work with staff on the preparation and verification of purchase orders. Review submitted documents for completeness and compliance with regulations and policies. Organize and maintain purchase order files. Assist in the distribution of outgoing purchase orders. Monitor and prepare purchase requests/requisitions for office supplies and equipment. Send out confirmation e-mails to vendors regarding receipt of purchase orders. Use established suspense tracking systems to document completion of tasks. Use various acquisition systems such as NIH New Business System (NBS) and nVision for reporting; enter, update and track data in established spreadsheets. Perform research pertaining to the supporting acquisitions; conduct research via internet and systems searches. Maintain records on closed invoices and in accordance with NIH regulations. Update and maintain OA management shared calendars; keep meetings up to date and organized. Enter receiving of goods and services into NBS within 7 days of stamped receiving date. Contact receiving officials to expedite receiving in NBS systems. Validate quantities on orders with Requestors and Vendors. Ensure the resolution of unpaid invoices by researching missing and incomplete orders. Position Requirements: High school diploma. Minimum of four (4) years of related experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and database management. Strong communications skills, both oral and written. Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
