CONTINGENT ON CONTRACT AWARD Data Systems Analysts, Inc. is searching for a TSSCI Software Engineer that can integrate tightly into a Government team where the individual staff members are all expert in their subject areas. This position requires a Software Engineer who can quickly adapt to rapidly changing priorities, identify and help develop integration between various efforts and are experienced in working with stakeholders to gather clear, concise requirements, and can provide tactical and strategic analysis of changes to be considered on activity prioritization and impact on other Government work priorities. Requirements include Proficiency in two or more of the following programming languages C, Java, .NET, Python, Perl, Ruby, or similar Experience with HTML I JavaScript Experience with multiple OSs including UNIX, Linux, Windows, Cisco IOS, etc. Experience with all intelligence disciplines (GEOINT, HUMINT, MASINT, OSINT, and SIGINT) and an expert level understanding of the data and tools associated with these disciplines Experience with managing and advanced SQL query writing, data retrieval, data mining from relational databases such as Oracle PLSQL, MySQL, Postgres and MS SQL Server (T-SQL) Proficiency in analytic algorithm design and implementation Web services environment and technologies such as XML, KML, SOAP, and JSON Recent experience utilizing Agile methods Proficiency in ETL processes, including document parsing techniques Proficiency in multi-threaded, big data, distributive cloud architectures and frameworks including Hadoop, MapReduce, Cloudera, Hive, Spark, Elastic Search, etc. for the purposes of conducting analytic algorithm design and implementation NoSQL database such as Titan, Mongo, Cassandra, and hBase Proficiency in processing, and managing large data sets (multi TB scale) Proficiency with the following Machine learning, data mining, and knowledge discovery Container configuration and implementation - Docker or similar Application integration, thorough understanding of complex network topologies, understanding of system security and risk management Mobile OS and app languages -HTML5, Android, IOSSwiftC ObjectC, etc. Graphical user interface and data visualization tools and protocols, such as HTML 4, CSS, and Adobe Creative Suite 5 Data transfer systems, such as Apache NiFi Text processing, such as NLP, NER, entity retrieval (eg, SolrLucene), topic extraction, summarization, and clustering Required Education - BA or BS in Computer Science or related fields (eg, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering) Required Certification - COMPTIA Security+ certification or CISSP certification Desired Education - Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields (eg, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering) The Software Engineer, closely integrated with the Government counterparts, will provide thought leadership for the project software engineering tasks, including research, analyses, and prototype development. This work is expected to be accomplished from a Springfield, VA Government location with potential infrequent local travel.
