The IT team is looking for an IT support person, responsible for all things IT. This individual will provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and/or software. This person will respond to inquiries, run diagnostic programs, and isolate problems, and implement best practice solutions. This unique opportunity will allow you to act as a technical go-to for end users. He/she will demonstrate and apply relevant knowledge and skills to perform work in accordance with applicable guidelines. Uses appropriate and available technology or tools to perform work activities. Acquires, develops and maintains relevant and appropriate job skills through training or other opportunities for learning and development. He/she will stay up to date on developments related to their own work. Identifies and advocates for resources required to accomplish work activities or projects. Makes effective and efficient use of available resources and safeguards available resources to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse. JOB FUNCTIONS Responsible for providing courteous and prompt response to user requests for technology assistance Responsible for managing and tracking requests through the technology team ticketing system (HappyFox) Responsible for routine maintenance of the association desktop computers, notebook computers, and mobile devices, including patches and upgrades to operating systems, firmware, drivers, BIOS, etc. Responsible for maintaining an accurate and current inventory of the association's technology assets Responsible for reimaging new laptops and configuring computer operating systems to association specifications Responsible for monitoring, managing and reporting on antivirus, malware, and other computing threats Responsible for configuring, deploying, and supporting association-issued mobile devices, Responsible for providing technical support to staff using productivity apps on IACP-issued and personal mobile devices Responsible for troubleshooting, assisting, and training staff in the use of AV equipment in association meeting rooms and acting as primary liaison to AV support company Responsible for user configuration, troubleshooting, and support for association's telecommunications platform (RingCentral) and acting as the backup liaison to IACP's telecom support company Responsible for troubleshooting association multifunction print devices, configuring print control software, and working with the Facilities team members to train staff on using the devices Coordinates work of a small team of volunteers (power users) in assisting with duties and responsibilities. Assist with configuration for staff members for access to the Office 365 environment Assist with onboarding new employees, including equipment setup, new employee orientation, and liaising with HR and Facilities staff Assist in implementing Active Directory security requests for premise-based resources and the Office 365 environment Assist IACP staff members in developing solutions using Office 365 and other software applications Assist in troubleshooting general networking and telecommunication issues. Provide after-hours remote support during "on call" shifts for a minimum of one week per month, and additional times as needed. Other job-related duties as assigned. PandoLogic.
