DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Responsible for leading and coordinating major cross-functional analytics and governance initiatives to improve data quality, analyzing information and financial systems to improve business processes and accomplish enterprise analytics divisional goals and Sentara's strategic goals across a wide variety of business operations, including finance, accounting, operations, management, and marketing. Duties include analyzing operations to pinpoint opportunities and areas of improvement; analyzing and redesigning current operational procedures; leading efforts to create new governance policies and procedures in coordination with Sentara privacy and security organizations; gathering and analyzing data in support of projects assigned and proposed solutions; coordinating and documenting various financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting projects; providing analytical data to operational and executive leadership regarding financial benchmarking, process flow analysis, and other projects as assigned; establishing a system to capture and report key business metrics; integrating acquisitions, joint ventures, and other key business relationships with Sentara Healthcare operations; managing priorities and scheduling of ad hoc reporting and business intelligence requests while ensuring timely delivery; preparing executive reports and presentations summarizing financial, operational, clinical and patient safety activities, accomplishments and trends to ensure efficient and effective operations; and utilizing proficient skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: (1) Bachelor's degree in Information Quality, Information Technology, or a related field, plus five years of progressively responsible work experience in a healthcare business analytics and/or data quality analytics position, to include supporting and managing governance initiatives to improve business data quality, working in cross-functional teams across a variety of business areas, and utilizing governance software platforms and Microsoft Office. -OR- (2) Master's degree in Information Quality, Information Technology, or a related field, plus two years of work experience in a healthcare business analytics and/or data quality analytics position, to include supporting and managing governance initiatives to improve business data quality, working in cross-functional teams across a variety of business areas, and utilizing governance software platforms and Microsoft Office.

LOCATION OF EMPLOYMENT: Virginia Beach, VA.

Work Schedule: 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.
