Job Summary/Company:

The Senior Contracting Officer has responsibility for overseeing all federal contract administration and contract compliance activities from inception to close-out. In this role, you will supervise all contract-related matters including negotiation and risk assessment of the terms and conditions governing all company proposals for new business, change requests under existing contracts, and contract modifications. This role partners with operations to develop and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Negotiate and manage a wide variety of unique and complex contract types, such as fixed-price and cost-reimbursement contracts
  • Ensure contracts are compliant with company policies and procedures, as well as, federal, state and local reporting requirements; includes compliance with government standards and practices
  • Review and manage contractual obligations of the parties and provides continual review to ensure that all terms and conditions are met
  • Draft and review Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Teaming Agreements (TAs), subcontracts and Requests for Proposal to subcontractors, etc.
  • Draft complex contractual documents to include contract modifications and subcontract modifications
  • Assess issues and risks and provide guidance and alternate solutions along with consulting with legal and other sections of the company
  • Work with the proposal management team in order to make certain contract compliance is maintained according to agreement standards
  • Monitor and evaluate changing federal contract requirements and industry trends and applies to contracts assigned
  • Act as technical resource for complex contracts
  • Work with Finance team to ensure proper contract value, funded value, timekeeping, billing and any other financial requirements are met
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Management, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Pre-Law, English, Communications or a related field
  • 10+ years of contract administration experience in positions of progressive responsibility
  • At least one of the following designations: Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM), Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), Defense Acquisitions Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) in Contracting or Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) certification
  • Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) guidelines and US Government contracting including the implementation and integration of changing acquisition regulations
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with Government Intelligence Agencies
  • Strong analytic and critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
