Functional Title: Program Manager, Paving, Masonry & Metals

Position Number: 101823

Facilities Management at the University of Maryland, College Park seeks a technical professional to serve as a Program Manager for Paving, Masonry, and Metals.  The incumbent will be responsible for program-level oversight and managing contracts engaged in the maintenance, repair, restoration, and installation of concrete, asphalt, and modularly paved surfaces, building foundations, fencing, and metal structures. Incumbent will supervise and manage performance of subordinate project coordinators, develop contracts, manage budgets, and administer to all procurement processes. Incumbent will develop specifications, technical requirements, and contracts for areas of responsibility. The incumbent will be required to utilize electronic information systems, Google business utilities, and web-based applications to report on and manage work.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree or High School/GED with an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Eight (8) years of relevant, progressively responsible experience in facility maintenance, repair, and/or restoration, including contracting, public sector purchasing, and program-level management experience, with three (3) years of working in a lead or supervisory capacity. Must have a valid Maryland Class “C” driver’s license or equivalent with fewer than 6 points.

 

SALARY/BENEFITS: Salary based on qualifications and experience. Position is Essential and subject to 24-hour/day, 7-day/week span of operation. Benefits include health, dental, vision and prescription insurance plans, tuition remission for employees and dependents, and participation in the State pension system.
