Your Role: The State and Local Government Sales Development Representative supports the Tenable Public Sector and State and Local sales team and is responsible for generating new sales opportunity pipeline via inbound and outbound sales activities to Tenable's Public Sector prospects. Your Opportunity: Perform outbound calling to generate new sales opportunities and pipeline Follow-up on inbound sales inquiries to generate new sales opportunities and pipeline Schedule meetings and demos for state and local government Territory Managers after proper opportunity qualification Generate a minimum of 8 new state and local sales opportunities per month Research target state and local government accounts for outbound call campaigns Work with Public Sector marketing team to drive attendance to and support State and Local sales events Manage and update the company's state and local government contact and account database Performs other related duties as assigned What You'll Need: 1+ year of experience in Federal sales or similar client support role is strongly preferred Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Computer proficiency Outstanding oral and written communication skills Must be detail oriented and capable of accurate work And Ideally: Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred Experience using or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools is preferred If you've reached this point in the Job Description and feel you're still not sure if you should apply Just do it!
