Mid-Level Systems Engineer
We are actively recruiting for aM id-level Systems Engineer to provide subject matter expertise to the COLUMBIA Class and VIRGINIA Class Submarine Programs C5INon-Propulsion Electronics System (NPES) Design Manager (PMS397450E). Tasking shall include Provide CWITT installation, test and certification of the C5I NPES and Weapons Delivery Systems expertise to the Program Offices in support of new construction and Post-Shakedown Availabilities COLUMBIA and VIRGINIA Class submarines. Participate in and provide support to the Program Offices IPPD processes for ship construction Provide system engineering management support to the C5INPES Design Manager, Deputy and Chief Engineer Execute administrative actions, provide liaison services and monitor tasking in support of submarine design, construction, testing, delivery, and certification and interface with Post Delivery Team, Shipbuilder, and field activities, as required. Provide meeting support, including participation, development and preparation of briefing materials and efforts associated with the planning, execution and resolution of action items. Provide technical support to facilitate liaison between the C5INPES Design Manager and interfacing organizations on construction, ship s testing, and certification related actions and issues pertaining to the C5I systems. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related scientific field and at least 10 years of job-related experience or equivalent Knowledge and experience in management analysis methods and techniques Familiarity with processes to accept non-conformance's on current Navy Shipbuilding Programs Familiarity with current Submarine Construction Processes Knowledge of Submarine Safety (SUBSAFE) Requirements Manual (NAVSEA 0924-062-0010 ) Knowledge of NAVY shipboard systems and DOD acquisition program Knowledge of how to conduct risk assessments and propose mitigating actions Expansive knowledge and experience with submarine design and construction engineering, planning and execution processes, operations, organizations and facilities Experience involving Unrestricted Operations to Design Test Depth (URO) program requirements, SSN modernization and alterations, AWPs and Hull, Mechanical, Electrical, Weapons and Communication systems Preferred Qualifications Candidate who possesses organizational skills, technical management skills, and ability to perform detail-oriented work Self-motivated, possess analytical skills and be customer-oriented Effective communication, both verbal and written Familiarity with computer hardware and software proficiency in MS Office Suite BENEFITS YOU'LL ENJOY Medical, dental and vision coverage 401(k) and company-funded life insurance Paid time off (PTO) and 10 paid holidays Tuition and training assistance Financial rewards for employee referrals Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
