Data, Load and Performance Modeler Understands the structure and semantics for information contained within the SWIM operational instances. EA data models and associated business rules. Creates and maintains models that illustrate as-is as well as project to-be system performance, user roles, the load of user pulls and the push of data producers. Participates in the definition of future business rules within the system since many business rules are tightly coupled to the specific data processed within the system. The DM is involved in the definition of persistent and transient data within a system therefore, the DM is usually heavily involved in the design of any databases or business objects that are implemented including structured, unstructured and semi-structured objects. Skilled in data modeling tools and models (eg, UML, ERD, XML, etc.), business rule definition, various database technologies (eg, XML, SQL, relational, NoSQL, Hadoop, etc.), business analysis skills, familiarity with current data standards and computing trends including information discovery and visualization techniques. Skilled in using off the shelf performance modeling tools as well as the formulation and creation of custom modelstools for use by the SWIM program. Potential ProductsActivities Data Management Plan, AoAs and design reviews, various levels of abstracted data models, technology insertion planning, user interface analysis and optimization, change control boards, user access modeling, knowledge discovery methods and techniques. Contributes to analytical reports, technical reports and positionrecommendation papers. Documents all applicable actions, processes and functions.
