Schneider Electric Power System Engineering (PSE) is seeking qualified Regional Engineers. The Regional Engineer works under the direction of a Principal Engineer and/or Area Manager and is responsible for leading and executing power system engineering work in their area. The Regional Engineer must become proficient in the PSE offerings. This includes power system studies, electrical distribution design, digital relay protection and control, PLC programming and commissioning, equipment assessments and power quality assessments. They must continuously expand their skills and increase their knowledge so that the solutions they offer are technically sound and meet national regulatory standards.The Regional Engineer is responsible for working with project management to ensure that the work executed in their area, either by the Regional Engineer or by others, satisfies specifications and customer needs and is completed within the project timeline and budget. Projects are typically a mixture of office-based design or system study activities coupled with onsite data collection, commissioning, and installation. Some projects may require travel and onsite work to be performed outside of regular working hours.The Regional Engineer will be expected to develop relationships with key customers and work to become the trusted advisor for them in order to facilitate an effective partnership and drive incremental business.Typical Responsibilities:* Executes projects or leads project execution* Develops and maintains their own technical and commercial proficiency of PSE offers* Proposal (quotation) development* Manages the relationship with key customers ESTIMATED TRAVEL: 30% average travel Minimum Qualifications: * BSEE * 4+ years of experience * Excellent communication skills (oral and written) * The ability to quickly establish trust of clients in a consulting role * Proficient in MS Office applications * Expert in at least one of the following areas: o Electrical power system studies o Electrical power distribution design o Switchgear Automation and PLC application o Digital protective relay programming and commissioning Preferred Qualifications: * Professional Engineering registration * Digital protective relay programming and commissioning * PLC programming and commissioning related to switchgear automation * SKM, E-tap or Easypower software experience * Autocad experience * Electrical maintenance and testing experience Competencies: * Ethical behavior * Safety conscious * Situational awareness, social intelligence, listening, problem-solving skills * Ability to analyze and interpret engineering documents, codes and standards, technical procedures * Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions * Ability to assist others in understanding project objectives and specifications and see various points of view * Cool-Calm-Collected under pressure and in dynamic environments * Able to simultaneously address project details without losing the big-picture * Anticipates and communicates project risks and implements mitigation strategies * Collaborative and influential communication style * Self-motivated, quick and assertive * Ability to develop project scope and identify project risks (technical, schedule, cost, change order) * Able and willing to work in a variety of industries
