Currently looking for an experience residential plumbing service technician for a direct hire position located in the Rockville, MD area. We are looking for a hard-working, dedicated Residential Plumbing Technician to join a growing staff. The right person in this role will be responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal. Must have extensive experience handling, installing, and fixing plumbing equipment, and be comfortable working with little to no supervision. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AS A RESIDENTIAL PLUMBING TECHNICIAN Assemble, install, maintain, and pressure test all pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, water drainage, sprinkler and gas systems according to specifications and plumbing codes Determine sources of plumbing malfunctions and complete repairs as indicated or according to work orders Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures Install and repair pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and plumbing system equipment, including sinks, commodes, water heaters, water softeners, etc.; install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks and waste and drainage systems Plan, install and service plumbing systems, fixtures, piping equipment and controls; test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks Repair dishwashers and kitchen equipment that incorporate gas or water consumption Receive and complete work orders Select material and hardware and make time and materials estimates Maintain accurate records on material and labor used Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean Detect needed repairs on residential new and existing homes following established inspection procedures OTHER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AS A RESIDENTIAL PLUMBING TECHNICIAN Respond to emergency calls as needed Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment; ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures Maintain all codes and installation requirements Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc Rules, regulations and operational procedures pertaining to the repair, and maintenance of residential homes Knowledge of local and state regulatory plumbing codes and requirements Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics and written reference material Diagnose and resolve problems LICENSE REQUIREMENT AS A RESIDENTIAL PLUMBING TECHNICIAN Valid State Issued Driver's License (Cannot be Expired) Clean Driving Record Licensed Journeyman Plumber Certifications in Plumbing Commercial Plumbing Service Technician Experience: Journeyman Plumbing Apprentice Plumbing Certifications
