Overview Peraton has an immediate need for a Senior Systems Engineer who will join our team at Blossom Point Tracking Facility (BPTF) in Welcome, MD. You'll be a part of the technical team that will assist with, and sometimes lead, the integration of new missions into the baseline, planning system upgrades, resolving issues and adding new capabilities to the infrastructure. Responsibilities What you'll do The Systems Engineer shall be a part of the technical team that will assist with, and sometimes lead, the integration of new missions into the baseline, planning system upgrades, resolving issues and adding new capabilities to the infrastructure. Will use standard requirements definition processes for new and/or expanded projects Will identify and manage risks on new and existing projects Will conduct trades studies on new technologies for ground system architecture Create and update wiring diagrams, flow charts, and other documentation Trouble shoot and coordinate repairs for any ground system issues Use test equipment such as Oscilloscope or Spectrum Analyzer Partner with Cyber Team to ensure network security regulations are met Assist RF Technical Team w/upgrades and troubleshooting of large apeture antennas Qualifications You'd be a great fit if you have A Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related field. 10 years of relevant work experience. 5 years experience with satellite command and control systems. Satellite/spacecraft ground systems knowledge including RF, radio frequency, digital signal, etc. 3 years experience with cryptographic equipment and networks such as KG7, KG17, KG777. An active Secret security clearance. The ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance. It'd be even better if you Have experience with Ground/Earth Station environments.
