The UM Report Coordinator monitors, organizes and maintains clinical reports that ensure effective outcomes that focus on the quality of care for all inpatient and/or outpatient services. This includes, but not limited to evaluating medical necessity, appropriateness and efficient use of Health Care Services for inpatient hospitalizations and/or outpatient procedures; working closely with internal clinical sources; acting as liaison for referring hospitals and/or offsite healthcare provides; and monitoring the quality of care/risk management issues to facilitate the improved utilization of resources. 1. Review, compile and coordinate the data required for UM Monthly Reports to include, but not limited to data including inpatient, outpatient, ER and CARES. 2. Assist with the collection and evaluation of data in the EPHR and CARES system. 3. Participate in weekly conference calls involving the census and status of patients housed within the infirmary throughout the State. 4. Maintain infirmary census data as it relates to utilization management. 5. Daily tracking of ER send outs, inpatients and readmissions across the State. 6. Coverage, in the absence of the inpatient nurse, for inpatient documentation and follow up. 7. Assist in completion of special projects on an as needed basis within the Department. 8. Participation in UM staff meetings and collegial discussions, when applicable. 9. Assignment of other duties, as required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with active RN license. Current CPR certification. Experience producing and managing reporting process. Experience with office administrative responsibilities. Knowledge of data collection, report documentation and case management, a plus. Computer proficiency.
