The Senior Financial Analyst has an interest and aptitude to learn the company's core business. The successful candidate will have proven financial analysis skills coupled with proficiency in designing and operating complex financial models, and will possess strong written and oral communication skills. The ideal candidate will work well within a team environment, will be able to handle multiple active projects simultaneously, and will take personal responsibility for the success of assigned tasks. The position will report to the Vice President, Operations for the South Region.Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:- Collaborate with various departments to explain Veolia Energy financial results related to budgeting, forecasting & variance. Candidate must then be able to present results to management in a clear and succinct manner- Financial planning and analysis (forecasts, budget, and strategic planning), including developing and maintaining complex customer sales and operating cost models- Support development of business cases for growth, efficiency, and reliability projects- Develop and coach staff in delivering the accurate production and sound financial analysis of results. Assist in the corporate consolidations of financial results -Provides analytical support to the Business Development Team during the review of sales leads and investment opportunities and acquisitions- Support customer proposals and re-negotiations- Performs complex business analyses using advanced financial modeling techniques- Assesses and identifies risk areas- Ensures compliance with Company financial metrics- Supports the project approval processThe ideal candidate for this position will have the following characteristics:- Bachelor's Degree required, with focus on Finance, Economics, Business, or Engineering. Master's Degree or CFA a plus- Prior experience in the energy industry or transactional experience a plus- 5-7 Years of relevant experience- Advanced proficiency with Excel and proficiency with PowerPoint, Word- Proficiency with SAP desired- Excellent written and oral communication skills- Able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team- Strong analytical skills and high level of creativity and enthusiasm- Knowledge of Corporate Finance principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)- Infrequent travel will be required.
