GDIT is hiring for an exciting opportunity for a Billing/Invoicing Specialist to work out of our Falls Church, VA office. As a Billing Analyst, you will support the billing process that ensures the division is meeting established performance objectives and set goals. Billing professional to prepare invoices for Government Contracts on a monthly and bi-weekly basis.Prepares and submits invoices for government and commercial customers in compliance with contractual and FAR regulations for all contract types.Collects invoices to ensure timely and accurate payments.Analyzes revenue reports during invoicing process to understand and communicate unbilled balances.Assists in other AR areas such as cash applications and final close outs.Reviews contract documents for information or changes related to invoicing.Bills customers in a timely and accurate manner. Ensures bills are in compliance with appropriate contracts, guidelines and regulations. Identifies issues, researches same and remedies as appropriate.Reconciles unbilled receivables on a scheduled basis. Researches and analyzes information to determine appropriate course of action including recreating or revising bills. Recommends changes to enhance process.Reviews various reports such as aged receivables to identify unpaid invoices. Determines appropriate course of action to collect payments and implements same.Maintains and updates billing folders in accordance with established guidelines.To qualify, you must meet these basic qualifications: BA or equivalent + 3 yrs related experience, or MA + 1 yr related experience; equivalent experience in lieu of degreeMust have accounting experience with a Government ContractorExperience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting softwareExperience with customer invoicing Experience multi-tasking with a high-volume work loadOther Qualifications:Personal computer and business solutions software skillsInterpersonal skillsCommunication skills for communicating with support personnel and managementAnalytical and problem solving skillsPlanning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize workAbility to work independently and as part of a teamUS Citizenship requiredAbility to pass a written assessment For more than 50 years, General Dynamics Information Technology has served as a trusted provider of information technology, systems engineering, training, and professional services to customers across federal, state, and local governments, and in the commercial sector.
