Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the WorldTechnical AnalystResponsibilities:Oversee all aspects of IT operations including IT infrastructure, Communication (LAN, WAN, email, etc.), database, backup recovery, regulatory complianceManage the day-to-day operations of the IT group including downtime, reporting service levels, defining and tracking IT operational metrics and provide status to managementPrepare overall status and activity metrics that documents and tracks delivery of IT services, planned and unplanned system outages, and other key IT performance metricsMaintain overall security of the network, systems, and dataEnsure high availability of critical business systemsMaintain strict controls on data/system backups and recoverabilityManage staff members in their daily activities, as well as supporting business projectsManage overall capacity utilization of server/hardware environment ensuring it is optimized to meet contractual requirementsDevelop and implement hardware and software standards for network, servers, and databasesDevelop and maintain overall backup and recovery strategy (Disaster Recovery & Continuity of Operation)Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs for effective delivery of services and compliance with regulatory guidanceResponsible for leasing and strategic planning for system upgradesDetermine, recommend, and implement hardware and software upgrades for business applications, server hardware, network equipment, desktop, laptop, etc.Responsible for all change management requests; as well as Architectural Change RequestsResponsible for resolution of issues escalated from Operations or DOJ network issues that affect customer access to and performance of operations, and webhosting applicationsResponsible for IT security and compliance relating to SSO, C&A, and FedRamp, which includes any applications for monitoring and reporting that are required by our ATOs, C&A documentation for Incident Response, access management, configuration management, and Contingency PlanAttend weekly/monthly client meetingsProvide weekly/monthly reports to clients and PAE managementInteract with vendors and consultantsInteract with PAE Subcontracts, Contracts, and Corporate Resource entitiesPossess strong verbal and written communication skillsAssist with proposal writing and prepare level of effort/cost analysisRequirements:Must be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance.Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalentMinimum 10 years of IT experience with 5 years of management experience preferredMust have a strong hands-on/technical knowledge of core Microsoft technologies including but not limited to Windows Servers, Active Directory, MS SQL and core Network/Cisco technologies like LAN/WAN, subnets, firewalls, VLAN's, and VPN using Cisco switches, and routers is requiredMust have a strong hands-on/technical knowledge of VMware technologies including Apache Web Server, EMC Networker, and desktop virtualizationMust have good understanding of user environment management, including desktops/laptops, profile management, software delivery, etc.Must have a good familiarity with other IT Infrastructure technologies like storage area networks (SAN), WAN, virtualization, and data warehouseMust have proven management skills with the ability to mentor staff membersMust have good people skills and the ability to interact and communicate effectively across all levels of the organizationMust have a strong technical background and hands-on experience surrounding IT Infrastructure technologies (especially technologies like Microsoft Active Directory, VMware, Cisco, MS SQL databases, etc.)Must be very proactive in understanding and staying up-to-date on the projects in progress and must stay up-to-date with industry technology trends and applicability of software/hardware solutionMust have a strong experience with NIST, Symantec Firewall, and CheckPoint FirewallMust have experience in ORACLE, UNIX scripting, PerlPAE is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
