As a Management and Program Analyst, Pathways Student Trainee, GS-0399-05, you may perform the following duties, which may include but not limited to:
  • Assisting in clerical and administrative support services to the Program Office.
  • Processing or maintain records and/or documents related to the work of the office.
  • Participating in program studies and analysis of operations to achieve greater economy and efficiency.
  • Preparing materials for work flow and operational analysis, cost studies, and/or equipment utilization.
  • Preparing initial work plans and draft reports based on existing procedures or observation of the activity to be studied.

  • Must sign a Pathways Internship Program Participant Agreement.

In order to meet basic eligibility requirements for this Expected Service Pathways Internship appointment, applicants must meet the definition of a "Student" at the time of appointment and throughout the duration of the appointment.

Student means an individual who has been accepted for enrollment or enrolled and seeking a degree (diploma, certificate, etc.) in a qualifying educational institution, on a full or half-time basis (as defined by the institution in which the student is enrolled), including awardees of the Harry S. Truman Foundation Scholarship Program under Public Law 93-842. Students need not be in actual physical attendance, so long as all other requirements are met. An individual who needs to complete less than the equivalent of half academic/vocational or technical course-load immediately prior to graduating is still considered a student for purposes of this program. Completion of 4 academic years of post-high school leading to a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree.

One full academic year of undergraduate; graduate; vocational; trades; technical or high school education is the number of credit hours determined by the college, university or school to represent 1 year of full-time study. All education beyond high school must be accredited by an accrediting body or organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Special Provisions for Interns with Previous Related Education or Experience: Previous education and/or experience may be evaluated to determine the highest grade level for which the applicant is qualified.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Please provide the beginning and ending dates of volunteer experience stated as MM/YYYY; and total hours worked per week.

This position may be eligible for non-competitive conversion upon completion of program requirements.
