PURPOSE: To assist functional areas in the identification of process needs. To find purchased or design internal developed solutions to meet company needs and lead both function area and cross-functional project teams through implementation of these solutions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Lead large cross-functional projects. Meet with representatives from all impacted functional areas to determine system requirements. Analyze those requirements against existing internal/external software systems. Identify/design a solution that meets those requirements. Prepare high level design documents that are approved by both the functional area and development teams. Create timeline/GANT chart to track and communicate solution delivery expectations. Lead the Project team during development, testing, documentation, training and implementation activities. Partner with development teams to identify weakness and support training. Identify new approaches to improve project leadership process. Mentor others who are creating designs and leading projects. Operate with significant latitude in support of multiple functional areas. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise large groups of exempt employees.QUALIFICATIONS: (Education, Experience and Skills) Bachelor's Degree or equivalent 5 or more years of relevant experience Comprehensive knowledge of applicable function PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Lifting requirements are typically less than 20 pounds on an infrequent basis. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Typically works in an office environment or occasionally on or around the manufacturing floor. The noise level is usually moderate. Occasional weekend work required. Moderate travel required.
