The candidate will provide core network engineering services to support the full development life-cycle for the ETN/SoETN including design, implementation, installation, testing, and transition to sustainment of new data circuits and ETN/SoETN equipment. Work will be conducted in Springfield, VA with potential for frequent travel to DLA CONUS and OCONUS locations.Responsibilities Include:- Configure and deploy devices in accordance with DLA ETN and SoETN device configuration standards and DISA STIGS.- Conduct hardware/software technology refreshes and upgrades- Conduct Site Surveys to determine space requirements, base infrastructure requirements, etc.- Last Half Mile Support connecting circuits to ETN points of presence via assigned base infrastructure.- Classified Network Support (Type-1 encryptors, GEM-X, re-keying procedures)- Integration with Services and coalition networks as required- Tier III troubleshooting (24x7x365 on-call support)- Knowledge and understanding of the following protocols and services for both IPv4 and IPv6: OSPF, Multi-Protocol BGP, MPLS (L2VPN, L3VPN, VPWS, TE, CSC), Multicast (MSDP, PIM-SM, PIM-SSM, Multicast VPN), Quality of Service, VPN Routing and Forwarding and Stateless Firewall Filters- Develop and submit ECRs, ITRs, NSO requests, after action reports, as-built diagrams, test plans, and test reports.- Tier III & IV support for Network and Telecomm Services (NTS) tickets.- Provide analysis regarding the effectiveness of the network solutions currently under consideration. These services shall include, but are not limited to:Analysis of hardware, hardware configurations, security policy, network management, network protocols, and security solutions in support of network functions related to the interoperability of the ETN/SoETN and DISN.Evaluation of proposed additions, moves and changes to DLA nodesCreation and review of any other emerging requirements affecting the DLA IT infrastructure.Development of detailed design documentation and an Engineering Change Request (ECR) package in accordance with ETN/SoETN CM procedures.- Provide Tier III & IV support for break/fix events on the ETN/SoETN, on-site touch labor to any global DLA facility, which could include travel.- Provide subject matter expertise to DLA operations personnel such as WAN Management Branch, needed to perform root cause analysis.- Conduct technology refresh initiatives of all non-CCI WAN gear connected to the ETN/SoETN.- Identification of circuit requirements for DLA locations and contact DLA activities, as required, to obtain circuit ordering information for ETN/SoETN.- Provide on-site installation services for equipment at locations identified in design plans.- Generate as-built drawings for all sites installed.- Current as-built drawings are done with Microsoft Visio.Requirements:Experience: 5 yearsClearance Required: SECRET with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) - Tier V InvestigationIA Level: IAT-III (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate) GCED or GCIH)Computing Environment: CCNP and CCSE (within 60 days) For more than 50 years, General Dynamics Information Technology has served as a trusted provider of information technology, systems engineering, training, and professional services to customers across federal, state, and local governments, and in the commercial sector.
