If you are passionate about helping colleagues reach their potential, the Onboarding team is searching for someone interested in helping our newest colleagues become productive and engaged at GDIT!This is a highly visible role that is perfect for someone looking to familiarize themselves with all aspects of HR and onboarding. This role will encourage building a network across the enterprise and working closely with all levels of management.The qualified candidate will work closely with our lines of business to onboard all new hires - as the resource that welcomes and builds the foundation for an engaged and productive workforce using a customer-centric focus and proactively contributing to the enhancement of the new employee experience.This individual will be responsible for:The development and ongoing enhancements of tools, materials, and processes that are used to onboarding new hires.Facilitating in-person and virtual new hire orientation and ensure proper onboardingBeing the trusted onboarding advisor for managers, using a consultative approach to ensure a positive onboarding experience for their new hiresLeveraging resources across the enterprise to troubleshoot and solve challengesMonitoring and reviewing all returned new hire employment documents for accuracy, within established regulatory deadlinesCompletion of I9 within three days of employment start dateTake appropriate actions if deadlines not metConducting new hire brown bags to connect new hires to the GDIT cultureCollaborating with HR, Finance, Security, and IT to answer employee questions about policy and procedures and refers to the appropriate specialist as neededCoordinating of new hire performance review/feedback process of on-boarding experienceMonitoring and reporting onboarding metrics that can enhance current programs and processesQualifications:Bachelors degree and 3+ years' experience in HROutstanding verbal and written communicator, with the ability to interact and connect with many types of personalitiesA growth-mindset that is always looking to improve current programs and processesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while managing multiple tasks and expectationsDemonstrated group presentation and facilitation skillsComfortable learning and adapting to new technologyWilling and enthusiastic to help others - the customer always comes firstQuick and efficient to problem solve and troubleshoot - if you don't know the answer, you know where to look and who to askAbility to take feedback and make adjustmentsSelf-motivated and able to operate independently with minimal oversightComfortable with role flexibility For more than 50 years, General Dynamics Information Technology has served as a trusted provider of information technology, systems engineering, training, and professional services to customers across federal, state, and local governments, and in the commercial sector.
