Network Engineer - Kaiserslautern, GE - 2sig Netmod Tesa (Secret Clearance Required)
GDIT is currently looking for a Network Engineer in Support of 2SIG NETMOD in Kaiserslautern Germany to support the testing of network hardware at different locations throughout Europe. Successful candidates will need to have an active Secret Clearance and be able to obtain TS/SCI clearance and meet TESA requirements in order to be considered.As the selected Network Engineer , you will be responsible for the following Responsibilities , but not limited to:Designs, supports, coordinates, controls or operates specialized components of a network whether data, voice or video.Conducts activities such as planning, coordinating, configuring, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting and tuning devices on any given type of a network infrastructure which might include routers, switches, gateways, firewall systems, multi-function switches, end offices, signaling transfer points, private branch exchanges, voice over - IP [VoIP], voice mail, call management systems [CMS] and network security devices.Interconnection of various networking devices via Fiber and CAT6 cabling. Organizing Network rooms and working with customer to upgrade network equipment throughout Europe. 75-80% Travel will be a Requirement and to other European Countries.Candidate is required to performed other additional duties and assist other programs or department within the Organization in support of the Contract. .Qualifications:Installs and maintains network facilities, including hardware, software, and system data for small networks.Performs data or voice network configurations and configuration changes of various voice or data equipment.Interpret design plans provided by the customer.US CitizenshipTESA Accreditation Requirements; A bachelor's degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR; An associate's degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; 11 years of recent specialized experienceMust have a current and active Secret clearance and be able to TS/SCI ClearanceDesired Qualifications:Cisco LAN/WLAN Vendor KnowledgeCisco certifications For more than 50 years, General Dynamics Information Technology has served as a trusted provider of information technology, systems engineering, training, and professional services to customers across federal, state, and local governments, and in the commercial sector.
