Please note: This is a remote position Pharicode Database Administrators are directly involved in the execution of tactical and strategic data-related projects, resolution of production issues, and the implementation, support and maintenance of the overall data services infrastructure and services. ResponsibilitiesCompTIA Security+ CertMCSA SQL 2016 Database DevelopmentExperience in MySQL and MariaDB with understanding and optimization for Azure based deploymentExperience with Oracle and SQL ServerConfigure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and securityDatabase development and administration experience supporting DoD projectsPerform database server installations, database administration, maintenance, performance monitoring and Database tuning activities, and disaster recovery planning, documentation and testingProvide off hours support, as needed, to support product enhancements, data uploads and technical issuesSupport data migration projects, conversions and product upgradesDiscover automation opportunities to replace manual processesExperience administering database standards, procedures and documentation. Comfortable with basic networking conceptsWorking knowledge of various scripting languages that facilitate database automation and reportingManage database changes and re-designsAnalyze database issues and troubleshoot or configure the database accordinglyDrive automation of codeMonitor database performance to ensure high levels of security and speed QualificationsBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field of studyProven knowledge of SQL ServersStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
