Our 100% employer paid technical certification & training program allows our service team to grow their skills while attaining the latest industry standard certifications (ie Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, WatchGuard, NetApp, HPE, Symantec, etc.) OverviewAs a Solution Architect you'll provide consulting, analysis, and design for data center, hybrid, and cloud technology infrastructure solutions. The Solution Architect is a subject matter expect in a large variety of technology solutions such as compute, storage, networking, security, and cloud products. CTI's Solution Architect is customer facing and works with customers to understand their business and technical requirements in order to propose all-encompassing solutions. The Solution Architect will report directly to the Manager of Technical Solutions and will lead in the design and delivery of both infrastructure solutions and scopes of work. ResponsibilitiesAs a key member of the service team, the Solutions Architect will provide pre-sales analysis, design, and recommendations for data center solutions focused around, but not limited to, HCI, storage, compute, cloud, data protection, virtualization, messaging, and advanced networkingThis person will work closely with the CTI sales team, the CTI service team, external vendor partners, and the customers to ensure a smooth transition from presales design to implementation and supportPartner with business counterparts to understand business needs and design solutions that are in line with modern industry standards to address the samePrepare and present potential technical solutions and advise the customer on the technical and business value of the proposal with appropriate tradeoffsDevelop solution design documentation using modern frameworks, methodologies, standards, or technologiesDevelop and maintain technology road maps at a business and or functional levelLead analysis of the technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvementBuild value-added relationships within the customer account to become the trusted advisorBuild in-depth knowledge of clients' technical and business priorities, challenges, and initiatives that can be translated into solutions opportunitiesAttend and document targeted customer visits, site surveys, and trade shows/conferences to gather and convey marketing intelligence on emerging requirements and technologiesMaintain technical vendor certifications Qualifications. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or another related fieldKnowledge of NetApp, Nimble, 3Par, Nutanix, HPE, Pure, EMC, VMware, Hyper-V, Cisco, Aruba, WatchGuard, Microsoft, or other leading technologies a plusDemonstrated knowledge or understanding of Cloud providers (Azure, AWS, Google, etc.). 3 or more years of hands on technical experience with data center infrastructure technologies, networking, and securityMust be able to listen to customer requirements, architect solutions, document technical specifications and accurately deliver solutionsMust be able to interface with clients on a regular basis. Must be able to articulate ideas to C-level executives and still command a technical discussion with the technical teamMaintain certifications necessary to enable CTI vendor partnershipsExcellent written and verbal skills in order to prepare and present scopes of workCreative, strategic and analytical abilities with strong presentation skillsPrevious pre-sales, sales engineering, or solution design experience preferredWorking knowledge of Microsoft enterprise technologies including Active Directory, Exchange, and Windows operating systems when deployed in an enterprise environmentExperience with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure is preferred
