Blueprint Consulting Services Group has an opening for a Senior Software Developer - Federal Sector. Senior Software Developer will work in conjunction with the Help Desk Manager and Senior Systems Engineer to Provide Operations and Maintenance Services. Operations and Maintenance services involve tasks and activities required to: ensure the reliable operation of system and program functions on a daily basis, protect the system and data, address hardware and software issues, and reduce the risk of serious problems to ensure that the system functions properly. It includes the operation and administration of software and databases in the hosted environment as well as services in support of the user base. Software Developer is expected to utilize expertise and best practices in service of the following areas: * System Monitoring * System Administration * Storage and Data Management * Database Administration * Middleware Administration * Capacity Management * Performance Management * Batch Job and Workflow Administration * Preventative and Adaptive Maintenance * Security Support * Disaster Recovery Location, Salary and Benefits: ‪Washington, DC Competitive pay based upon qualifications and experience. Required Qualifications: 5+ years relevant software development experience. 3+ years experience as a billable resource on Federal contracts 2+ years experience with Compusearch/PRISM (now Unison) solutions Responsibilities: Application Support System Development and Enhancement (SDE) Use of development methodologies using an agile approach to construct and deploy new system features, functions, and enhancements. Examples of significant SDE efforts that are currently underway or planned for future implementation are: Elimination of Oracle EBS for a more streamlined Unison Contracting experience. Modification, deobligation, and FPDS-NG reporting automation at closeout. Acquisition planning and program office - contracting office collaborative workspace utilizing Unison Insight. SDE enhancements that are smaller in scope are expected to occur regularly. Examples include: Report creation due new business process requirement Enablement of new COTS feature outside of the existing IAS baseline (eg, Unison Insight Workbench app) Development of a new custom application (eg, Workload Tracker in Oracle APEX), interface changes, or new batch processes Major operational tasks such as: (a) support of interfacing financial system partner hosting migration requiring much interface configuration, firewall changes, and testing, (b) implementation of new load testing tool, and c) increasing architecture by adding a new environment. Use an agile approach pursuant to CPIC requirements. Standard technical documentation must be developed and maintained throughout the SDLC for all SDE efforts. Beyond IAS software enhancements, SDE may come in the form of significant training development (eg, development of classroom training class that does not currently exist, development of self-paced training material utilizing AgLearn Course Avenue platform) and web portal development (eg, web portal overhaul) projects.
