Join us.Responsibilities:Guidehouse is seeking a highly conceptual, strategic, and analytical Data Visualization Designer to create custom visualizations from complex data sets in a compelling way for our clients. You understand how users think, operate and interact with multiple, disparate data sources and have a minimum of 4-6 years of experience working with UX/UI designers, developers, and data/analytics to create intuitive and innovative solutions that exceed the needs of our customers.To be considered for this position, you must have a strong online portfolio that clearly demonstrates your experience with data visualization.Key Responsibilities: Work with an interdisciplinary team to produce compelling data-driven stories Work closely with users to determine which data sources are necessary to deliver a solution Translate requirements into customized reporting solutions that are aligned to business goals Establish data visualization standards while exploring new and emerging tools to produce cutting edge solutions Gather information from key stakeholders, and successfully convert these into designs and prototypes Effectively communicate data results by creating custom visualizations for our clientsQualifications: You must have a strong foundation in visual design with an expertise in creating intuitive and visually compelling data visualizations A strong desire to innovate and create work that pushes the boundaries of data visualization and digital product design Experience working with large data sets, extracting relevant information, and producing strategic conclusions into user-friendly user interfaces for a wide range of users Experience creating large, complex data visualizations that adhere to WCAG 2.0 guidelines In-depth knowledge of creating solutions for iOS and Android platforms You must have a strong understanding of responsive design and be proficient with interaction design and user interfaces Exceptional analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills Experience working with an Agile development team Experience participating in usability testing Experience with current development technologies, standards, and best practices, including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, React, D3.js Chart.js or othersMinimum Years of Experience: 4-6 yearsUS Citizenship is requiredMinimum Degree Required: Bachelor?s degree in Visual/Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.Disclaimer:Guidehouse is an affirmative action and equal opportunity employer.
