We are seeking Information Systems Security Engineers to join a dynamic engineering team in development and deployment of state-of-the-art communications and signal processing systems, including satellite ground terminals. Responsibilities What you'll do Develop system and subsystem security requirements Design, develop and implement security requirements within existing business processes. Prepare documentation from information obtained from customers using the Risk Management Framework Prepare Security Test and Evaluation plans. Provide certification and accreditation support in development of security and contingency plans and conduct complex risk and vulnerability assessments. Analyze policies and procedures against Federal laws and regulations and provide recommendations for closing gaps. Develop and complete system security plans and contingency plans. Recommend system enhancements to improve security deficiencies. Develop, test, and integrate computer and network security tools. Secure system configurations and install security tools, scans systems to determine compliancy and report results and evaluates products and various aspects of system administration. Conduct security program audits and develop solutions to lessen identified risks. Develop strategies to comply with privacy, risk management, and authentication requirements. Provide information assurance support for the development and implementation of security architectures to meet new and evolving security requirements. Evaluate, develop, and enhance security requirements, policy and tools. Assist in computer incident investigations. Perform vulnerability assessments including development of risk mitigation strategies. Coordinate implementation of security requirements with external customers. Support design and requirements reviews. Qualifications You'd be a great fit if you have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security or related discipline Over 8 years of experience in security engineering The ability to communicate and work well with others Strong writing and presentation skills Experience with NIST Risk Management Framework and ICD 503 Experience with McAfee host-based security suite / HBSS Experience running vulnerability scans with Tenable Nessus / ACAS Experience in developing and maintaining documentation in XACTA Experience with Linux and Windows systems CISSP, CISM, or GSLC certification Security +, SSCP, CCNA-Security It'd be even better if you have Experience with network segmentation and host protection concepts Experience with SCAP/OpenSCAP or NESSUS Experience with hardening systems based on DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG). Experience with virtualization technologies and various hypervisors, eg, VMWare, KVM, XEN, or AZURE.
