Job Summary:

Westat is seeking a highly motivated web application programmer/developer who will be responsible for the development and implementation of web applications to support a variety of projects across our research domains. You will join a technical community of developers and engineers providing intuitive, responsive systems to collect high quality data using various leading edge technologies and modern software development tools and platforms.

Job Responsibilities:

· Programming user interfaces to support functionality of websites, web survey applications and backend management and reporting systems.

· Developing SQL queries and stored procedures to manage data and support data extraction, data analysis, and reporting.

· Providing technical and operational support to production web sites and web survey applications.

· Working with both subject matter experts and IT staff to define and document system requirements

Basic Qualifications:

· A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is required.

· Entry level to 4 years of experience.

· Working knowledge of web design using software languages (e.g. C#, PHP, VB.net, ASP.net), HTML5, CSS, Javascript, and related technologies.

Candidates should possess strong communication skills be detail oriented, an analytic thinker, a problem solver, and able to work independently and in a team environment with both technical and non-technical audiences.
