Responsibilities

Management and Program Analyst, PD# 82177A
Serves as administrative support in evaluating the effectiveness of compliance and office policies and procedures. Provides analytical support to higher-level colleagues and supervisors in matters relating to personnel and labor relations. Engages in evaluating effectiveness and efficiency of organizations and proposes changes for improvements in organization, staffing, work methods, training, and procedures. Assists the Chief Counsel in developing policies and coordination of procedures and other management improvement activities. Serves as the liaison to the OGC Talent Management System Program Manager, and as a coordinator for the office's moot court program. Provides on-site assistance to supervisors in identifying and scheduling appropriate training for staff.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The work is predominantly sedentary, requiring some walking, standing, bending, lifting and carrying light to moderate weight and size items such as books, files and paper.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

Time-in-grade: Applicants who are current Federal employees or who have held a GS grade anytime in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. Example for a GS-12 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11 level.

Specialized Experience (GS-12):
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-11) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Utilize qualitative and quantitative techniques for analyzing and measuring the effectiveness of administrative and/or technical programs. Experience developing methods and detailed studies designed to streamline work processes and maximize organizational efficiency. Experience that requires analyzing and interpreting facts and issues of law. Experience explaining and orally presenting findings and conclusions through trainings and/or briefings.
