Summary

As Public Affairs Specialist (Operations / Creative) you will build upon OPM's digital internet presence to help enrich and improve the agency's online communications operations. Additionally, you will coordinate with other elements of the agency to develop a more strategic and dynamic set of social media capabilities and strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and coordinate operations and creative strategies across all OPM digital platforms.
  • Manage the publication and production of video products for use in social media marketing and communication.
  • Serve as strategic operations and creative expert across OPM and play a key role in compelling communication strategies and campaigns that encompass all aspects of OPM's digital media.
  • Responsible for the programmatic design, development and deployment of digital communication, including website development, social media and video content.

Qualifications

Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level (or equivalent) that included: developing creative strategies, producing video products, developing social media campaigns, creating compelling communication strategies, and participating in website development.

Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F.One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level.

You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
