Responsibilities/Qualification Position Summary: The Senior Laboratory Technician is responsible for maintaining the laboratory and its equipment and supplies. Position is based in Ft. Meade, MD . Responsibilities Include: Maintains order in sample storage locations Keeps, cleans, and stores incoming coolers for future use Receives supplies and distributes or stores as needed. Receives incoming sample deliveries from clients or couriers. Follow all Safety, Ethics and Quality practices. Maintain all required documentation with accuracy and clarity. Read, understand and perform all applicable laboratory SOPs as written. Log samples into Laboratory Information Data System (LIMS) Provide guidance to less experienced data specialists Education and Experience: Requires a high school degree, some college or technical training, and 5 to 7 years of related experience. Requires excellent written and verbal communications skills, the ability to think critically, and direct ecological risk assessment experience .
