Responsibilities

As a WRITER-EDITOR(WEB TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST), you will:
  • Develop, coordinate, and edit organization content for the Department's web products. Research facts and analyze data to ensure it is written in a manner appropriate for the audience it serves.
  • Work with the S&T Division Director in implementing the Department's web policies and procedures.
  • Maintain content so that it is current and accurate. Updates, revise or remove content in a timely manner.
  • Develop web-based business processes to ensure they comply with Department's content policies and design and technical standards and those they meet requirements of the Americans With Disabilities Act.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service . One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. This position is in U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Deputy Assistant Secretary for Housing Operations, Office of Business Development, Systems and Technology (S&T) Division.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

For the GS-13, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Experience developing and editing content for web products for various audiences; AND
- Experience presenting Web-related information in a logical and clear manner for both technical and non-technical audiences; AND
- Experience working with web lifecycle, HTML, SQL, or MS Office Products, including SharePoint; AND
- Experience working with Content Management software (Drupal, WordPress, Oracle, etc.)
