At the entry level of this position, you will:

- Provide leadership and support to the Superfund training program, known as the CERCLA Education Center to include: planning and delivery of training, instructor coordination and coordinating the maintenance and updating of course materials

- Lead or support OLEM efforts to identify, evaluate, negotiate and acquire meeting facilities and supporting resources for large training events (up to 400 people) in federal, private or public spaces including preparing comparative analyses and justifications for selection of meeting sites in accordance with Federal Meeting planning standards and requirements as well as conference spending guidelines and approval processes

- Provide advance support to on-line and virtual training programs, including development of training materials , coordination and hosting live on-line events

- Prepare and deliver background information, findings, and options or recommendations on training programs, issues and delivery mechanisms related to the needs and directions of Superfund program staff and ensures that all materials, equipment and documentation on subject matter are available for attendees

- Coordinate a wide variety of activities to foster internal and regional coordination and cooperation as well as work with other organizations with the Superfund program as well as across the Agency including coordination and communication with Regional staff and the public, as appropriate, on activities in assigned areas

- Provide support to the National Training expert and Branch Chief in the reporting of the conference spending activities and develop expertise in key financial and training approval policies; leads contracting and budgeting activities related to conference spending

This position is designated as Low Risk and requires a background investigation. Unless an appropriate background investigation is already on record with the Office of Personnel Management, you must undergo a background investigation.

You do not need a degree to qualify for this position.

We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience

To qualify for the GS-13 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-12 level defined as Experience in planning, developing, coordinating, and delivering training events ranging from classroom style courses to large, multi-disciplinary, multi-topic training events. Understanding of Federal government meeting rules and requirements with strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills

To qualify for the GS-14 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-13 level defined as Professional experience planning, developing, coordinating and delivering training events ranging from classroom style courses to large multi disciplinary, multi topic training events. Experience scoping, negotiating, and procuring training facilities and services. Ability to lead diverse stakeholder teams to plan training and curriculum.

6. Skill in conducting briefings to a variety of audiences, including senior management, on technical issues

7. Ability to coordinate with agency groups and the public to understand program directions and the results of planning and reporting activities

8. Skill in financial management/contract management
