Multimedia Forensic Scientist, Senior
Key Role:

As a Forensic Scientist you will join a growing team of scientists and collaborate with experienced multimedia, systems engineering and data science subject matter experts to develop cutting-edge technologies, filling multimedia analysis capability gaps that can withstand rigorous scientific validation. Perform key research and development and engineering tasks and consult with program leaders and customers to propose innovation solutions to real-world challenges. Partner with Senior Scientists and Engineers to investigate and solve challenging multimedia forensic problems, leverage expertise in research and development to develop novel signals and multimedia analysis techniques through algorithm and software or script development and use existing multimedia analysis tools. Conduct research and support custom solutions for the client's challenging problems. Analyze scientific publications with a high degree of comprehension, implement concepts from academia into real world use, analyze current technology, and offer or defend scientific recommendations to address specific client missions. Propose new research and technical initiatives based on deep, cutting edge scientific knowledge. Work on other projects' key areas as a subject matter expert in core disciplines.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with multimedia analysis, signal and imaging processing, algorithm development, machine learning and computer vision

-3+ years' experience with Data Science or Machine Learning

-3+ years' experience with Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, coding or software development

-Demonstrates expert level scientific nexus knowledge and capability

-Effectively communicates theorist understanding of physics, machine learning, signals and photometry.

-Experience with advanced scientific software coding in support of set research and development objectives.

-Experience with Machine Learning and AI and ability to develop the algorithms to push up to federal systems.

-Ability to produce high-quality technical solutions, recommendations, and papers for senior technical personnel with the potential to publish.

-Active Top Secret Clearance required

-MA or MS Degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with integrating commercial or open source software tools for custom application development

-Experience with imagery and media analysis from a forensic perspective

-Strong relationship skills and demonstrated history of community engagement with very senior scientific, engineering, DoD and IC luminaries.

-Passion, experience and desire to work in the innovation, design and creation of advanced software tools and prototype development of forensic tools

-A mindset for forensic discovery and knowledge creation

-Knowledge of electronics and hardware control

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Demonstrates entrepreneurial thinking, innovation, and real-world problem-solving skills

-Active TS/SCI clearance preferred

-Ph.D. preferred

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
