Network Engineer, Mid
Key Role:

Establish network information requirements in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale networking infrastructure, including CAN and WAN. Design architecture, including the software, hardware and communications needed to support total requirements and provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces. Evaluate and network usage problems analytically and systematically and develop appropriate corrective actions. Maintain responsibility for scheduling and conducting pre-site survey and site surveys, recommending alternative approaches to meet event scheduling requirements using existing resources, analyzing the development of installation and removal analysis plans for each government site, providing initial network diagrams, updating network diagrams throughout the installation process, coordinating all shipments of the hardware and necessary communications security (COMSEC) material to user sites, installing and removing Service Delivery Point (SDP) networks, and conducting post-installation functional tests.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with a broad range of technical task assignments

-Experience with establishing Layer 1 connectivity between networking devices, including Cat 5 and fiber

-Experience in troubleshooting Layer 1 connections with Fluke or optical testers

-Experience in working with media converters

-Experience with configuring taclanes, including the KG-175 series

-Experience with Cisco routers and switches

-Experience with Microsoft Visio

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-HS diploma or GED

-IAT Level II Security Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with help desk ticketing

-Experience with Juniper

-BA or BS degree in a related field
