The Director of Government Contracting will be a seasoned professional with significant experience in the government marketplace managing government contracting. The Director of Government Contracting must have a proven track record of working within the government to drive best practices and winning outcomes. The Director of Government Contracting will be an impactful leader that will be required to make proactive recommendations to protect and grow the business.Job SummaryThe Director of Government Contracting will have Operational responsibility for the oversight of contracting/legal services supporting government customers to include US federal, state & local and Canada. Supports the full life cycle of contracting and proposal priorities including but not limited to business capture, proposals, contract negotiations and ensure effective contract management to ensure regulatory compliance. The Director of Government Contracting will be a business partner to General Manager for the government business unit to execute on strategic operational priorities. Applies proven problem-solving skills and knowledge of best practices to guide the business and advise stakeholders on issues including legal or contracting implications, intellectual property, and Compliance. Responsible for the evaluation of and mitigation of risk and balancing risk and reward in business dealings with customers and partners.
