We are currently looking for an experienced Patient Coordinator. Position Description: Duties include: Answer multiple telephone lines, address, and/or re-direct calls to the appropriate individual, department, or IC; respond to a large volume of multi-lingual language requests by telephone and computerized orders. Screen language service calls and exercise good judgement in forwarding complicated service requests to Senior LIP Program staff as necessary. Enter interpreter appointments into electronic scheduling system with accurate inventory of interpreting hours and service data. Verify all appointments with requestors, ensure that requests are accurate, and confirm interpreter availability with contract vendors. Triage language requests, interpret urgency, negotiate with customers when necessary, create order tickets, assign order tickets to available interpreter staff, and deploy said staff accordingly. Respond to last minute emergency language service requests while maintaining a composed, courteous, and professional manner in a timely manner and to the highest quality. Maintain good communication with internal and external customers; refer complaints to a higher level as needed. Advise customers on supplementary interpretation options for remote (telephonic) interpretation services when proximate (on-site) Interpreters are not available. Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports of contracted language service hours; collect data and prepare reports on utilization and workload as requested. Anticipate the business needs of the SWD leadership and adhere to project deadlines for SWD/LIP. Maintain file systems, scan documents for quick retrieval. Provide routine administrative and clerical support to the SWD/LIP staff in its daily business operations and strategic initiatives. Support, promote, and advance the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations under close supervision. Position Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Four (4) years of related experience. Fluent Spanish and English oral communication skills, both oral and written. Knowledge of clinical protocols, medical terminology, standardized administrative principles, concepts, policies, objectives, practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
