The full time Advancement Director reports to the principal and is responsible for the overall planning, management, coordination, and evaluation of enrollment management, marketing, development, communications and constituent/public relations programs of the school - activities that create a supportive climate for enrollment and development. This is all in an effort to provide sufficient resources to insure the School can achieve its mission. The advancement director will report to the principal. This position is for Ss. James and John School. Responsibilities: Responsible for the planning, management and implementation of the marketing, recruitment and retention of students. This includes but is not limited to open houses, campus visits and tours, re-registration, brochure creation, etc.Working closely with key volunteers, coordinate the external and internal marketing efforts and initiatives that attract and retain students in sufficient numbers to support the programs of the school.Plan, collect data, make projections and report enrollment management data.Responsible for the promotion and marketing of the school to create awareness and grow enrollment. This includes, but is not limited to: Market researchMedia PlanningCreation and execution of a strategic marketing plan using a diverse media mix.Design and creation of marketing and admissions materials, as well as the production of the advertising creative (the ads).Public relations (seek publicity opportunities, create/distribute press releases to local media highlighting school events and achievements)Brand managementManage and oversee the school's electronic communications outlets (website and social media channels)Plan, manage, and implement annual giving, and major gifts. This includes, but is not limited to: prospect identification and research, cultivation, solicitation, gift processing, acknowledgments and stewardship.Works to create a culture of philanthropy within the schoolPromote understanding, acceptance and support of the vision and mission statements, and objectives of the schoolSet priorities to meet annual goalsWork closely with the enrollment and development committees of the board to set and achieve goals and objectivesResponsible for setting and maintaining professional writing and design standards for school communications. This includes, electronic communications including website and emailVolunteer planning and management for key large scale functions (ie Annual Appeal, Gala)Database management:, oversee the management of databases as it relates to enrollment management and development, especially the updating and maintaining of the alumni database Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a related field preferredExperience in enrollment management, development, sales, marketing, and/or communications.Ability to appreciate and communicate a passion for Catholic elementary educationDemonstrated leadership and effectiveness in developing and accomplishing organizational goalsAbility to build a team, effectively recruiting and managing volunteers for admissions activitiesSuperior communication skills, ability to conceptualize and execute strategic plans, the ability to interact confidently and effectively with school staff, students, donors, trustees, school administration, the media and alumniWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and the InternetExperience in a parochial or not-for-profit environment highly desired.
