The Network Operations Generalist II will be part of the Network and Security team within the Information Technology Division. The Network Operations Generalist II is responsible for analyzing, installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing of network infrastructure and application components.

Your Work Falls into Three Primary Categories:

Project Support

  • Engage Information Security and Business areas. Partner with Information Security and Business areas to support technical solutions to complex business issues that align with target state architecture and conforms to corporate best practices.
  • Business Communication. Engage with internal teams, project teams and business areas to discuss issues and document or explain technical solutions in a simplified meaningful way.

Maintain and Sustain
  • Understand Business Requirements, participate in Requirements Analysis, when required, and support complete network solutions based on Requirements and Architecture.
  • Understand and advocate Network and Security standards. Reference architectures and support robust/scalable/secure Network and Security infrastructure.
  • Provide technical guidance, perform product installation, upgrades and certifications, implementation plans, deployments and troubleshooting support.

Support Operations
  • Diagnose, solve and provide root cause analysis for hardware and network related issues.
  • On-call on a rotation schedule but also be available to assist Network Operations during major issue or outages.
  • Coordination with other teams for the design, build and production readiness of Network and Security infrastructure solutions supporting mission critical production environment


Qualifications

Qualifications
  • College Degree or Equivalent experience.
  • Typically has 2-4 years related experience.
  • Experience with Cisco networks (including Nexus), monitoring, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Software Skills: MS Project, MS Excel, MS Power Point, MS Word, MS Visio
