Embedded Software Engineers - Satellite Subsystems (R0001259)

JOB DUTIES: Design and develop software for Mobile Satellite Base Station Subsystems. Develop multi-process and multi-threaded software modules for carrier allocation and data handling, hardware monitoring and status reporting for the satellite base station subsystems. Develop software applications and Board Support Packages for various processors (x86, ARM) including U-Boot, Kernel Image and Root Filesystems for Commercial Off-The Shelf (COTS) boards and Hughes developed proprietary hardware boards. Develop software modules to support LAN switch functionalities in a Hughes developed hardware board. Write High-Level Design (HLD) and Interface Control Design (ICD) documents for various software modules. Perform system software/hardware tests and integration. Provide technical support for customer software systems and installations.

REQUIREMENTS:

Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field and 6 months' experience in Software Systems Development or Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field plus 5 years' experience in Software Systems Development. Experience must include 6 months' with each of the following: C; C++; Python; Linux; Shell Scripting; and GDB.
