Responsibilities

As a Supervisory Financial Analyst (GS-0501-15), your typical work assignments or responsibilities may include the following:
  • Supervise a group of employees performing professional and administrative work in budget and serve as the senior manager responsible for the financial and budgetary management of a department.
  • Performs the administrative and human resources management functions relative to the staff supervised including Performance Management, and adhering to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) rules and regulations.
  • Oversee the financial record and reporting of financial records.
  • Develops and manages the budget operation for an organization with multiple major subordinate components, each with diverse, multi-year, substantive programs.
  • Conducts expenditure reviews of financial programs and financial operations of organizations inside and outside the department or agency.

    Qualifications

    To qualify for the position of Supervisory Financial Analyst at (GS-0501-15), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade.

    Specialized Experience: For the GS 15: You must have at least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-14 level in the Federal service which required you to perform the following duties: Supervising a group of employees performing professional and administrative work in budget, and serving as the senior manager responsible for the financial and budgetary management of Assets Forfeiture Fund. Directs the work of subordinate staff members who provide analytical and financial services related to the fund, such as budget formulation, justification, and execution. Performs the administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised including Performance management, and adhering to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) rules and regulations. Oversee the financial record and reporting of financial records. Oversee of contractor firms that perform work related to financial recording, reporting, and accounting for the funds.
