Our purpose at The Motley Fool is to "To make the world smarter, happier, and richer", and we on the Business Intelligence team strive to democratize the data that enables Fools to do just that! Your task - should you choose to accept it - is to build the solutions to power that work and enable fellow Fools to do it themselves.

You might be a good fit if you:
  • Like to problem solve: Finding and solving problems excites you. That can mean digging-in to the data to identify and resolve issues or working with a tech team and analyst to find missing data or data flows. You are able to learn through doing. You are energized by managing unexpected problems and developing unique solutions every day. You are tenacious.
  • Enjoy creating order out of chaos: Uncertainty doesn't scare you and you thrive in the unfamiliar. Going with the flow comes naturally to you. You are flexible and willing to learn things. You can optimize, deconstruct, or create new processes with the best of them while exploring new tools and maintaining systems you've already built.
  • Work with others: You won't be an island. All of your work plays an essential role in moving the business forward toward the Fool's grander vision. This means that you are comfortable interfacing with a variety of fellow Fools from techies, to analysts, to key decision-makers and beyond. You want to teach other Fools to fish using your tools. You are a natural collaborator.
  • Dislike "the mundane" : Learning a role, while applying novel ideas along the way, brings you a sense of pride and ownership. You like being self-directed and find peace in the freedom to determine how you best impact our business priorities. You enjoy working on a variety of projects with new stakeholders while not being completely removed from your past partnerships. Appreciating the balance of your work, interests, and passions isn't hard for you. You add your own spin on what it means to be a Fool.
