MIL currently holds several multi-year contracts with NAWCAD in the areas of Cyber, C5ISR, and Information Technology systems.

The MIL Corporation i s currently seeking a Systems Administrator to support a Federal Government client at our San Diego, California location. The Systems Administrator will perform system administration of LAN/WAN equipment (computers, servers, etc.) and systems, conduct network security, systems maintenance, systems monitoring/reporting, requirements analysis, and solve analytical problems.

Key Duties
  • Maintain and administer virtual systems and environments within a classified or unclassified network environment.
  • Install, configure and maintain the operating systems on workstations, laptops and servers. Perform Windows administration, create user accounts/reset passwords in LDAP, create DNS entries, and perform system backups for future recovery.
  • Harden all systems in accordance with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Verify system compatibility and compliance with AIC requirements and IAVM and provide applicable system updates. Maintain software and firmware updates on all responsible systems as required.
  • Operate Perform IA and configuration management of systems related to multiple software and hardware configurations.
  • Perform network monitoring, reporting and testing; monitor What's Up Gold and Solar Winds for WAN/LAN outages.
  • Provide Tier 1 & 2 technical support from operational centers to RDT&E infrastructure customers.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or an information technology-intensive discipline OR equivalent degree/experience
  • 5 years of experience in system administration of LAN/WAN systems, network security, systems maintenance, systems monitoring/reporting, requirements analysis, requirements planning, resource scheduling, CM, and documentation management; 7 years' experience desired Training and/or Certifications on Microsoft products; Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Office 2010, Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003, 2008, etc.
  • Must possess DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security + and Windows OS or Linux) or be able to obtain within 90 days of start date
