Enrollment Management Counselor
PERSONNEL STATUS: PIN/Exempt
DEPARTMENT: Enrollment Management
OPEN DATE: August 7, 2019

Responsibilities: Recruits potential transfer students through the attendance of admissions recruitment fairs, conferences, and/or programs; works to increase recruitment venues and student enrollment; corresponds with student prospects generated through recruitment fairs, open houses, and/or walk-ins; develops and maintains a database that captures the descriptive information of prospective students; counsels potential students about the admissions process and procedures and advises students on options for continued academic pursuit; responds to student inquiries regarding undergraduate application status using e-mail, mail, fax and/or personal interactions; updates data in PeopleSoft which includes decisions, checklist, education, and/or residency; develops mass media campaigns and coordinates special outreach efforts; verify critical data placed in PeopleSoft as it corresponds to data in undergraduate student files; coordinates on Campus Transfer Information Sessions (two per semester); performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in admissions (or related) higher education activity. Thorough knowledge of admissions practices and procedures; knowledge of student information software (i.e. PeopleSoft); knowledge of PeopleSoft and Microsoft Office applications.
Condition of Employment: Will require periods of intensive travel, both in and out of state (including weekends and evenings) and requires reliable transportation. Will be housed on select Maryland Community College campuses one to two days weekly during the fall and spring semester.
Other: Union position.
SALARY: $45,000 - $50,000 RANGE: I
