As an Operations Policy Analyst, you will integrate and standardize operational policies, directives, and orders.

Operations Policy Analyst

Serves in the Office of Operations Support at the Headquarters Office.

Integrates and standardizes policies, directives, and orders covering various complex operational (Airport, Public Safety, Dulles Toll Road, and Engineering) processes and procedures. Eliminates redundancy and inconsistency in policies; establishes and applies 'best practices' approach to policies. Performs related functions.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Integrates and standardizes operational policies, directives, and orders. Eliminates redundancy and inconsistency in policies; establishes and applies 'best practices' approach to policies.

Evaluates and assesses existing policies; identifies similarities and differences between polices. Works with the Operations Policy Senior Analyst to establish priorities for policy reviews.

Works with the Operations Industrial Engineers and Operations Process Analysts to align policy changes to process change results.

Participates in communication efforts to implement and communicate policy changes. May conduct training on new policies.

Prepares and presents written and oral presentations to key Airports Authority staff.

Keeps abreast of regulatory changes that may impact operational policies.

Collaborates with other Offices, particularly the Office of Public Safety, Office of Engineering, Washington Dulles International Airport, and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and to identify and integrate policies.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Five years of progressively responsible experience in business policy development and analysis.

Ability to develop and evaluate policies and procedures.

Ability to write clear, concise, and standardized business policies.

Well established oral and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Ability to interpret and adhere to complex federal, state, and corporate regulations and policies.

Skill in using a computer and office software/systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of airport operations.

A Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field.

EDUCATION

A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, or related field.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED

A state driver's license in good standing.

NECESSARY SPECIAL FACTORS

Work is typically reviewed during progress and upon completion for quantity, quality, timeliness, and customer service.
