Every year, AARP Foundation helps millions of struggling older adults 50 and over win back opportunity by being a force for change on the most serious issues they face each day. Through the Foundation's many groundbreaking and innovative programs and services, we create and advance effective solutions to meet their basic needs for nutritious food, safe and affordable housing, adequate income and much-needed personal connections.

Works closely with management to provide digital marketing and web support. Manages the day-to-day needs of AARP Foundation digital properties, and partners closely with digital agency to execute digital components of marketing and communications campaigns designed to acquire customers and build affinity and engagement among program beneficiaries and volunteers. Serves as a key liaison between the Foundation and the team.
  1. Works with the digital agency and internal teams to develop and execute digital marketing strategies that increase Foundation's brand equity.

  1. Partners with the digital marketing agency to audit and recommend strategies to optimize the digital presence of AARP Foundation and services.

  1. Acts as a primary liaison to the team.

  1. Manages and reports digital marketing metrics in Tableau and other databases, as needed.

  1. Manages content for AARP Foundation website and digital channels in a timely manner. Ensures website is always up-to-date through regular audits of links and pages.

  1. Advises the client service and editorial teams on best practices in using SEO to develop content.

  1. Collaborates with AARP strategists, creative teams, earned and paid media experts, analytics lead, and program staff to develop compelling digital content plans.

  1. Keeps abreast of the latest digital trends to inform creative approaches, as well as to aid internal knowledge sharing.
  2. Engages with and communicates program updates and priorities to key stakeholders.

  1. Develops timelines to meet project commitments and ensures deliverables from across the organization and external partners are on time.

  1. Serves as a brand ambassador, ensuring that all marketing and communication efforts and assets reflect and adhere to AARP Foundation brand standards.

  1. Works with management and other partners from across departments to measure and report on program results, perform research and deliver findings, and understand and leverage segmentation data, etc.

13. Works collaboratively to find solutions to day-to-day issues/problems.

Completion of a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 6+ years of marketing experience, with an emphasis on website content management and digital marketing strategy execution. Direct experience working in a social enterprise and start-up environment is a plus. Experience in a digital agency is a plus.

Proficient in understanding multiple facets of core marketing areas and the role of digital to amplify a brand or program campaign.

Proven experience developing cross-channel digital communications programs.

Experience with online content strategy, organization, and management.

Demonstrated knowledge in building short-, mid-, and long-term digital campaigns.

Proven experience with content management systems, online content strategy, implementation, assessment, and project management.

Excellent oral/written presentation skills. Proficiency in preparation and presentation of proposals, analytical reports, and documents regarding programs' operational status, achievement, and performance.

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and have sound business judgment in project prioritization.

Demonstrated efficient vendor and budget management.

Can work independently and in a team environment.

Ability to gain internal respect and build consensus with superiors and peers.

Flexibility with adapting to changing work environments and priorities.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle challenges in a diplomatic fashion.

Must be comfortable with collaboration.
