ASIS International, a professional membership organization located in Alexandria, VA with 34,000 global members seeks a talented and motivated individual to serve as our Sales Development Specialist. In this role, you will play a key role on our sales team by focusing on expanding our horizon of exhibitors and sponsors, and by partnering with our Account Managers and Partner Solutions team, to help achieve team sales goals. You will do this by researching and prospecting companies currently not participating in ASIS events including, but not limited to, GSX, CSO Summit, and Security Xchange. Generate prospect lists by expanding on existing vertical markets as well as researching new vertical markets, updating and maintaining Salesforce CRM, and identifying new strategic partnerships for ASIS events.

As a successful candidate your background will likely include a bachelor's degree plus 1-2 years of sales experience. You will also have experience building and maintaining relationships with vendors and/or other external parties, and you will have a demonstrated history of database development and increasing sales/revenue. If you have experience selling in a B2B environment, particularly in the events space, you will have a strong leg up on your competition!
