Lead Retention Specialist/Case Manager (Spanish or Amharic)

Under the direction of the Director of Student Services, the Lead Retention Specialist (LRS) will be responsible for collecting and tracking the employment gain and retention data from the Student Services Departments. The LRS will be responsible for collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop, plan, monitor and implement the department’s system of obtaining required information from students as dictated by the Performance Management Framework (PMF). In addition, the LRS will develop a system to track Student Services’ student contact time for annual report and productivity tracking purposes.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for data collection, analysis, and interpretation for Performance Management Framework (PMF) and other reporting requirements.

  • Ensures the integrity of report data as well as its manipulation, processing, and analysis.

  • Prepares and provides presentations of data analysis results during staff training

  • Employs a case management approach to working with, supporting, communicating and

    tracking interactions with identified student populations and refers students to appropriate

    support services

  • Serves as the primary point person in the Student Services Department for all employment

    and retention activities under the supervision of the Director of Student Services

  • Responsible for conducting follow-up with students as they exit the program to obtain employment information and to provide referrals to case managers, counselors, and

    employment specialists as needed

  • Assist in the facilitation of Student Government meetings

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of related experience or an appropriate combination of education and experience.

  • Experience in case management and community outreach with community connections.

  • Fluency in Spanish or Amharic required. (verbal and written)

  • Demonstrated Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated research skills.

  • Schedule: This position will be required to work two evenings a week and occasional weekends as needed.
