Overview We are looking for a Network Architect, in Alexandria, VA, responsible for overseeing the configuring, managing, monitoring, and maintaining government Command and Control (C2) voice and video collaboration devices. The Network Architect will be the subject matter expert for architecting, implementing, testing, and troubleshooting enterprise collaboration solutions supporting an operational voice and video network. Responsibilities Develops collaboration architecture designs, studies and plans; supports design, test readiness, and operational readiness reviews Provides senior program managers with recommendations on voice and video collaboration approaches and strategies for new and continued business Develops, implements, and manages voice and video collaboration processes including design standards to ensure compliance, relevancy, and sustainability Performs capacity planning of the collaboration services by monitoring and analyzing network, performance and availability of voice and video services Proactively researches and evaluates tools and technologies, as appropriate, to the collaboration environment, while developing solutions to increase performance and lower the total cost of ownership Provides Tier III support by providing trouble resolution of the voice and video infrastructure and perform on-call duties and off-hours support when needed Flexible with scheduled support of outages after hours and on weekends Qualifications REQUIRED: BSEE, BSCE or BSCS with communications focus and a minimum of 10+ year's relevant networking experience Minimum of ten (10) total years of experience in the architecture/design, development, and implementation of voice and video collaboration architectures Minimum of Cisco Certified Collaboration Expert (CCCE), Cisco Certified Voice Expert (CCVE), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE), or Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) certification Must have proven ability to architect, implement and support video infrastructure solutions for conferencing, gateway transit, and mobile platforms In depth implementation and troubleshooting experience of collaboration using concepts/protocols such as H.263, H.264, bandwidth resolutions and frame rates, frame picture formats, HDMI resolutions, G7.xx audio frame rates, voice and video encryption, and device certificates Experience with voice and video collaboration systems such as the CUCM, UCS platform, CMS Meeting Server, Telepresence Management System, Video Communication Servers, Multi-controller Units, and Voice Gateways PREFERRED: BSEE, BSCE or BSCS with network voice and video collaboration focus, and a minimum of 12+ year's relevant networking experience Exceptional verbal, written (including the development of procedural documentation), interpersonal, and presentation skills desired Experience with voice and video performance management tools, security tools and appliances, layer two technologies, wireless communications, and firewall/gateway traversals is preferred Experience working in a lab development environment performing testing and development functions Self-driven and resourceful in achieving goals independently as well as in cooperation with others Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities The ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations, and gather team consensus to move forward Working knowledge of networking fundamentals such as network protocols and common services (eg, DNS, FTP, SSH, SNMP) Previous experience supporting a Government and/or Department of Defense customer Experience with application of DoD IAVAs, DISA STIGs, and NIST security controls Experience with Redcom Sigma Core and Slice voice conferencing systems Experience with Variphy Cisco CDR Reporting and Call Analytics SECURITY CLEARANCE: This position requires the candidate to already have a current TS/SCI security clearance and to maintain the clearance.
